Our homes will be built in the traditional Mexican materials (mostly concrete) to take advantage of the local materials (wood is extremely expensive in Oaxaca) and to keep the house cool even on the hottest days without air conditioning. A concrete house with high ceilings stays cool.

We have combined elements of traditional Mexican design with some North American touches to make you feel more comfortable. The front wall of the house has been set back slightly from the street to allow for a small front garden. and there are high walls (7.5 feet high) separating you from your neighbour.

The houses are a duplex style with each house sharing one common wall with its neighbor. However, the wall is extended front and back along the property line to a height of about 7.5 feet to guarantee privacy.

We have opted for the open concept with the living room, dining rood and kitchen forming a single "great room" while the two bedrooms and bath are separate. The total area of the house is about 1075 sq. feet - large enough to be comfortable but small enough to be low maintenance.

There is a small service area in the back of the house where the hot water heater, propane tanks and laundry will be placed.

The side garden is small (roughly 17 by 34 feet - depending on the length of your driveway).

We are willing to sell the lots by themselves and you can then arrange to build your own home at your own pace. A price list is available HERE.
